On May 19th, 2017, I lead a discussion with the students of the Roman School of Comics about: “Creativity vs copyright and the digital world: who will win? And who should win?".
The abstract was that “digital technologies and communication networks offer to artists and creative workers of every kind all sorts of opportunities they never had before, and copyright tries to protect those opportunities. Taken together, however, those same tools also create huge problems for creativity, art and culture in general, and so far very few creative people seem to have fully realized this fact.”
