Calicut: How and Why Open Hardware and Open Source can and should be used in non-western countries

On February 15th, 2019, I have joined by videoconference the 2019 edition of the FOSSMeet conference in Calicut, India to share some thoughts on how and why India (but of course the same points apply to any other non-western country!) may use the right open digital technologies to pursue wellbeing for all its citizens, without falling into the same errors and dependencies still experienced in “First World” countries.
