There is a lot of research and activism these days which is devoted to understand the limits of the current social, cultural, political and economic models and to build alternative solutions.
In 2007 I started to look around the Internet and to listen to a few forums devoted to these themes. One of the results is the publication of a couple of articles, which describe some limits I found in certain ways to practice, or at least advocate, degrowth and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) production methods as sufficient solutions which would work without any loss in real quality of life:
